THE STARTING POINT

Considered around
your home.

Lighting makes paths and seating areas useful after dark. Irrigation delivers water to the planted areas. Both need routes, connections and accessible controls, so they belong in the plan before paving and borders are finished. LLD coordinates the layout with the relevant specialists and records what equipment, installation and testing are included.

SHAPING THE SCOPE

What we can bring together.

01

A lighting intention

Define the routes, seating areas, planting and architectural details to illuminate, with comfort and neighbouring properties in mind.

02

Equipment and control planning

Identify proposed fittings, switching and controls, together with the specialist electrical design and installation requirements.

03

Irrigation coordination

Review planting zones, water provision, control locations and access for inspection as part of the garden specification.

04

Handover information

Record the agreed system scope, operating guidance and maintenance responsibilities so the equipment can be used and checked appropriately.

BEFORE YOU COMMIT

The decisions that matter.

01

Light with a purpose

Separate circulation, practical task lighting and visual accents. More light is not automatically more comfortable or more attractive.

02

Keep equipment accessible

Valves, controls and connections need sensible positions for inspection and maintenance, even where the design keeps them visually discreet.

03

Check existing infrastructure

Existing power, water supply and equipment must be assessed before deciding what can be retained or extended.

A clearly defined proposal.

Scope and specialist work

Electrical work must be designed and installed by appropriately qualified professionals. Water connections, backflow protection, drainage and control compatibility also require site-specific assessment. The landscape brief does not substitute for specialist technical design or approvals.

What shapes the quotation

Pricing depends on the existing infrastructure, number of zones or fittings, equipment selection, controls, trenching, reinstatement and specialist labour. Ongoing adjustments and maintenance should be distinguished from the initial installation.

A LITTLE MORE DETAIL

Your questions,
answered.

Can lighting be added to an established garden?

Often it can be considered, but cable routes, existing electrical provision and the disturbance to finished surfaces need to be assessed before confirming the scope.

Will automatic irrigation remove the need for care?

No. Automated systems still need inspection, adjustment and maintenance. Watering should respond to the planting, equipment and actual conditions.

Can you assess existing garden systems?

Existing lighting and irrigation can be included in a garden review, with specialist inspection arranged where the condition or proposed changes require it.
