THE STARTING POINT
Considered around
your home.
A garden continues to develop after installation. New plants need attention as they establish, established borders change with growth, and equipment needs periodic inspection. LLD's maintenance brief begins with what is actually on site and who is responsible for each part, so the agreed visits have a clear purpose rather than relying on an undefined promise to keep everything looking good.
SHAPING THE SCOPE
What we can bring together.
A garden care review
Identify the planting, surfaces and systems to be included, along with existing issues and the household's expectations.
Routine planting care
Agree the appropriate care tasks, inspection needs and seasonal attention for the planting covered by the plan.
Irrigation and lighting checks
Define routine checks and reporting, with specialist repairs or changes separately authorised where required.
Clear visit responsibilities
Set out the agreed frequency, access arrangements, reporting and how additional works or replacement items will be proposed.
BEFORE YOU COMMIT
The decisions that matter.
Establishment or ongoing care
A newly installed garden may have different needs from a mature landscape. Confirm which stage the maintenance plan is designed to support.
Who does what
If household staff or another contractor is involved, agree responsibilities to avoid duplicate work or missed watering and inspections.
How issues are reported
Decide who receives observations and authorises extra work, particularly if the owner lives abroad or the property is managed for them.
A clearly defined proposal.
Scope and specialist work
Maintenance visits do not automatically include replacement plants, major pruning, pest-control treatment, equipment repairs or emergency attendance. These items and any specialist involvement must be expressly included or quoted separately.
What shapes the quotation
The care plan is priced around garden size, planting complexity, equipment, visit frequency, access and the agreed tasks. A written schedule should make consumables, disposal and additional-work arrangements clear.
