THE STARTING POINT

A garden shaped
around your property.

For District One and District One West, the brief follows your villa, its setting and the stage your home has reached. A landscape brief can focus on the transition from the villa to the garden: generous terraces, private seating and planting that softens the architecture without obscuring it.

A generous villa needs a garden with proportion as well as features. Start with the principal views from inside, the relationship between terraces and the house, and the size of gatherings you expect to host. Keep useful outlooks open while resolving privacy where it matters. For District One West, confirm the handover stage of your own villa before setting the installation programme.

THREE CONSIDERATIONS

Before the
first drawing.

01

The indoor–outdoor link

Review thresholds, sightlines and how the main rooms open onto the plot.

02

Privacy & proportion

Match screens, trees and shade structures to the scale of the property.

03

Before installation

Confirm actual handover, site access and the requirements for the proposed scope.

YOUR QUESTIONS

Landscaping in
District One.

Can the landscaping be planned before the villa is ready?

An early brief can establish priorities and explore a layout using the available drawings. Final design decisions and installation commitments should follow a review of the delivered site, access and relevant requirements.

How do you prevent a large garden feeling empty or overfilled?

By working with scale and use. Terraces, planting groups and quieter spaces can be composed around the house rather than filling every available area with separate features.

Do you undertake pool construction as part of landscaping?

Pool construction is not included automatically in the garden offer. Pool surrounds can form part of the landscape brief; structural pool works, equipment and other specialist requirements need a separate assessment and agreed responsibility.
